FogBugz Ocelot removes plugins from FogBugz On Demand and FogBugz On Site (FogBugz for your server is not affected). For more information about why we are making this move, see this page. We have found that most of the plugins which FogBugz users have enabled were written by Fog Creek. These are all being re-implemented to benefit from the speed boost of FogBugz Ocelot. Some features previously provided by plugins have moved from the old plugins page to new locations. Those changes are documented here.

The lists below show the status of all plugins previously available in FogBugz. All lists below are in alphabetical order.

Bug Monkey

Bug Monkey is a powerful plugin. It allows users to add any javascript and cascading stylesheets to any part of FogBugz. Our help site has dozens of scripts that users (and our support staff) have come up with to change the way FogBugz looks and operates. Due to its popularity, we have brought Bug Monkey to FogBugz Ocelot and renamed it “Customizations“. If you used Bug Monkey in the old “classic” UI, you should have received an email from us about migrating your script to Customizations. The Ocelot case and list pages have completely different DOMs and JS events. All scripts need to be updated to work on Ocelot pages (like the case list). Documentation of these changes is still in progress, but you can find the basics here.

In addition to letting you continue customizing FogBugz in Ocelot, we wanted to take the most popular scripts and roll them into the core product. We tallied up the number of accounts running each of the scripts that are posted on our help site to find the most popular ones. We opened cases for these features to consider implementing them in FogBugz Ocelot itself. At this point, we have already released most of the best ex-customizations as full-fledged features:

If you are still using the old “classic” interface and have customizations installed that you depend on, please drop us a line to let us know what they are.

FogBugz For Your Server

If you are running FogBugz on your own server, this article (and its parent) does not apply to you. We have no plans to remove the ability for you to run any plugin you like in FogBugz 8.8, including ones you write yourself. See the FAQ for more info on the future of For Your Server.
